Kelley CornishSVP, Head of Diversity & Inclusion
Kelley Cornish is a diversity and inclusion executive, author, and speaker. As a diversity and inclusion executive, Kelley serves as TD Bank’s, America's Most Convenient Bank, Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, Kelley works closely with the Diversity Leadership Team (DLT) to define and enable TD Bank's diversity strategy. She provides insight, advice and intelligence on diversity-related issues and potential impacts to the organization, and she engages the DLT, its subcommittees and councils, along with HR and Marketing, to drive strategies and measurable progress that brings TD’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace to life.
Kelley has more than 25 years of diversity and inclusion leadership and Human Resources experience. Prior to joining TD, Kelley led Diversity and Inclusion at AmeriHealth Caritas where she shaped the vision and developed workforce initiatives programming. She created and implemented the strategy and roadmap for a long-term multi-year, diversity and inclusion strategy. Included in this work was the publication of Kelley’s first book, “It’s Work! How Will You Show Up?” where she shares professional and personal tips on the workplace which includes a case study highlighting the work of a millennial.
Kelley also led the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia chapter of The Society of Human Resource Management and oversaw Human Resource strategic planning for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia including organizational development, employee engagement and retention, diversity and inclusion and performance management.
As a Certified Diversity Professional by Cornell University (CCDP), Kelley serves as a 2017 Special Expertise Panel Member for Diversity and Inclusion for the National Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) which includes addressing current and future trends within diversity and inclusion, and she consults and speaks for various organizations.
Kelley is married to Douglas Slaughter, and they have four adult children and a junior in high school. She enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with family and friends every chance she gets! Kelley lives by the quote, “Never get too busy making a living that you forget to make a life!”
